We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Advisor to provide high level support to the People & Culture team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. So if you are considering a new career for 2023 why not come and join us at the RSPCA!
The Learning and Development team sit at the heart of the People & Culture team to provide strong Learning and Development support to the whole organisation and drive change. The role will contribute in a hands-on way to the creation, design and delivery of learning and development initiatives across the whole Charity. You will bring energy, enthusiasm and possess a natural passion for sharing knowledge. Are we peaking your interest yet?
The role will be mainly homebased with occasional travel to our office based in Horsham, West Sussex.
Here's some of the key work that you will be doing...
Working closely with the Learning & Development Managers and L&D colleagues to assist in the design and delivery of learning initiatives and to support the following:
- Delivering leadership and management development that underpins the leadership culture and drives transformational change.
- Facilitating and delivering our induction programme, that builds on our Values. This will include organising and delivering the virtual induction event to new starters.
- Fostering positive relationships and working closely with key stakeholders - determining the requirements for learning and providing appropriate solutions to support their needs.
- Supporting the implementation of the new RSPCA strategy and the Values and Behaviours Framework as a key part of the P&C team
- Ensure we harness technology, best practice and modern ways of thinking in our approach to learning and development
- Promote continuous improvement
- Review and update the Learning Management System to ensure all relevant training activities are recorded and that accurate data is maintained for reporting
- Assist in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of learning
- Assisting as a subject matter expert to HR Business Partners and central admin staff
What we are looking for in you...
- Strong facilitation skills
- Experience of delivering leadership development training and supporting managers with their development needs
- Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Established experience in partnering with different areas of an organisation
- Sound knowledge of theory and best practice in Learning & Development
- A solid understanding of identifying learning needs and how to translate this into actions across the organisation
- A forward thinking attitude with a genuine interest in the latest learning and development practices
- Strong attention to detail is a fundamental part of this role, with the ability to prioritise and manage high volumes of work, maintain quality and accuracy, without compromising on excellent service
- The ability to put the employee/customer experience at the heart of everything you do
- Experience of working with suppliers would be advantageous
