Job Title: Learning Coach
Salary: £25 per hour + Statutory holiday pay
Admin/Meetings: £12.50 per hour
Fuel: £0.44p per mile from home location to workplace when traveling
Hours: Variable
QRS is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Peterborough area and are looking for a Learning Coach to work variable hours.
APPRENTICES:
- Timely completion of apprenticeship sign-up of paperwork, ensuring all documents are completed by employer and apprentice. Explain policies and procedures to expect through the course as part of onboarding.
- Follow-up any outstanding paperwork, Employer’s Liability Certificates or Health and Safety that may be out of date during the course, ELI yearly, H & S due every 3 years. Follow-up any DAS queries.
- Support employers and apprentices with any queries that may arise before start or during
- Recruitment and shortlist for employers, monitoring gov.uk vacancy.
- Undertake informal/formal interviews with applicants to ensure they meet employer requirements and apprenticeship requirements.
- Invite any new employers on the Digital ApprenticeServices to set up account and reserve funding.
- Liaise with Office Manager re new starts.
- Support employers with reserving funding.
- Conduct and record quarterly reviews with each apprentice and employer, within 10-12 weeks window. Reviews to include BV, Prevent and Career development and skill development and other requirements introduced by the government. Support with action plans where needed.
- Support apprentices throughout including failed exams,personal issues arrange tutor support where needed, offer guidance on how to manage exams or classes.
- Complete all requirements of IEG exit paperwork for apprentices which includes evidence for last day in learning, One file 20% log of all hours.
- Complete apprenticeship transfer, withdrawal, or completion paperwork where applicable, encouraging support to maintain the apprenticeship.
- Signpost apprentices and employers or support with exam, invoice or incentive issues.
- Keep updated information on apprentices and provide support to other staff when needed.
- RAG report apprentices and provide update information to Director of Business.
- Liaise with IEG group Functional Skills team to setup initial diagnostic. Ensure all assessments are completed.
- Ensure the Apprentice is fully prepared for EPA with associated elements completed
- Ensure portfolio is ready to be signed off and ready for final synoptic.
- Support apprentices with preparation of EPA
- Check all documents are uploaded and ready to be viewed by EPAO.
- Create accounts on Onefile for all relevant apprentices and ensure they receive their login details.
- Provide tutorials on Onefile on how to create timesheets for 20% and how to submit learning activities to show progress towards portfolio.
- Prepare review document, gathering information from Onefile and feedback from tutors. Send invite either for remote or face to face visit, schedule on Onefile.
