Why join HEINEKEN Hereford?
You may not know this but at HEINEKEN we love apples! We own orchards, a fruit mill, and the world’s largest Cider plant (or Ciderie as we like to call it) in Herefordshire.
We’re famous for beer but we own some of the UK’s most loved Cider brands including Strongbow, Bulmer’s Old Mout, Inch’s and Symonds to name a few.
At our Hereford site we employ just over 300 colleagues, and we pride ourselves in having a fantastic site, with a great safety record, producing great quality cider.
About the role
Do you have a real interest in helping our colleagues be developed to the best of their abilities? We are looking for a Learning & Development Consultant to join the site at Hereford.
‘This is a core role on site, working collaboratively with colleagues, people managers and our site leadership team. It’s a role where you can significantly impact the quality of what we do and the learning culture on site’ Laura, Hiring Manager
Our L&D Consultant at Hereford is part of the Brewery Operations L&D team, with peers at each of our UK sites, owning the operational capability and development agenda of their site, aligning it to the overall People Plan.
Reporting to the site People Business Partner you’ll have responsibility for embedding the site people development plans. You will coach colleagues in using our Managed Learning Service Partner, Hemsley Fraser. Providing our colleagues with various channels in which to learn to accommodate all learning styles– will be a real driver for you and the uptake of those tools by colleagues will be a measurement of your success.
This is also a great opportunity to get involved in the development of our entry-level talent. We’ve recently hired a significant number of apprentices and graduates so your support in the development and the delivery of apprenticeship programmes will be vital to their success.
About you
To be a success in this role you’ll be able to pull on previous experience in a Learning & Development role with examples of developing and delivering a range of capability interventions from face to face to online solutions, ideally within an environment of high-volume learning. As well as a positive attitude, the ideal candidate may have:
- Experience of working with senior management teams to design, deliver and embed capability plans
- Great stakeholder management
- Excellent administration skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and “bring the outside in” by implementing industry best practice
- Qualifications in Learning and Development
- A continuous improvement mindset that can engage leaders and colleagues
Life at HEINEKEN
We’re building a future that embraces innovation, sustainability, diversity and, of course, the opportunity for our 2,400 UK colleagues to make the most of their careers.
We encourage all our colleagues to grow and reach their full potential. We’re also well-aware that successful careers seldom run in a straight line, so if you’re in search of fresh opportunities (including global or cross-functional moves), mentoring or simply want to pick up a new skill, you’ll have access to all the support you need.
Caring for people & the planet is one of our core values and we understand that each of our colleagues’ needs and circumstances are different. This is why we have a smarter working policy in place which includes access to hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and condensed hours, to name a few.
Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way – but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.
