Our people are hugely important to us at Oak Furnitureland and we have a great opportunity to join our Organisational Development team. We have big plans over the next few years to further develop our learning and development offering and you will help us implement our ambitious strategy and manage a small team of 3.

We offer hybrid working and this role will be based in our Swindon head office for 2 days a week with 1 day every other week in our Cribbs Causeway Bristol training academy, and 3 days from home.

Through your knowledge of the business and stakeholder interaction, you will provide OD insight and input that supports our HR strategy and help people fulfil their potential, enabling the business to meet its objectives around performance and culture. Working on various projects at a time this will be a busy and rewarding role for a passionate and proactive OD professional.

Responsibilities

Work with the Head of OD and provide input in the design of OD-specific areas of the HR strategy that supports the delivery of people-focused organisational objectives.

Ensure that the implementation of all OD initiatives and interventions are delivered professionally and to the highest standards
Monitor, measure, evaluate and report on OD plans and achievements to ensure continuous improvement, promoting and sharing best practices and organisational learning.
Lead and manage a specialist team of OD Professionals in the delivery of identified OD interventions, initiatives, and solutions.
Support the continual development of an organisational-wide performance management framework that supports organisational objectives in being delivered whilst sustaining a culture of regular performance conversations and action.
Capture relevant performance information to identify and prioritise training needs and use outputs to influence and drive future strategy/OD plans.
Continually develop a suite of organisationally driven Core Skills learning interventions that support colleague development of knowledge, skills, and behaviours that develop high-performing individuals and teams.
Support the continual development of managers and leaders through the design and implementation of development programmes/interventions that align with the Manager’s Behavioural framework and Leadership principles.
Design and deliver interventions, initiatives, and career pathways to enable effective talent management that nurtures and develops aspiring talent and builds capacity for the future.
Manage the Apprenticeship Levy ensuring it is invested in the development and retention of talent across the business-critical areas and roles, and regularly considered as part of succession planning activities.

Essential Skills

Experience in supporting cultural change programmes that have added significant value to the organisation.
Previous experience managing OD projects through to conclusion
Demonstrates deep knowledge of performance management approaches to optimise organisational effectiveness.
Knowledge and experience in delivering a learning and development strategy including technology solutions and blended learning approaches.
Expertise in researching, designing, and delivering training/learning and development programmes.
Knowledge of design, delivery and implementation of companywide management, and leadership development offerings.
Experience in design, delivery, implementation and running of organisational talent management and succession programmes.
Coaching and mentoring experience desirable (Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring).
Ideally trained in specialist psychometrics (e.g. MBTI).
