About the role
This role is internally known as a Talent Development Advisor. The role is integral to supporting the growth and development of our colleagues across Matalan. Working in collaboration with others, this role is involved in the design and delivery and evaluation of learning solutions including both face to face and digital delivery.
? Live and breathe the Team Brand, Matalan Culture and values and values, promoting these to others across the business
? Build genuine, strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues across the business to support the delivery of the Talent strategy
? Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR function to ensure a cohesive joined up approach in relation to key Talent Development activity such as onboarding, digital learning and career development programmes
? Think end to end in terms of approach, considering all touch points and managing the full project lifecycle for all talent development initiatives you are responsible for
? Manage relationships and the development of Subject Matter Experts (SME) to support the delivery of technical training content
? Plays a key part in the creation of innovative digital and blended learning solutions to build high performing colleagues across all business areas, keeping up to date with latest external trends
? Remain commercial at all times ensuring interventions are linked to the Talent strategy and focused around the things that will make the biggest business impact
? Continually look for improved ways of working within Talent and across different business areas to reduce duplication and drive efficiencies
? Actively create, deliver and promote a range of development opportunities and resources which can be accessed by colleagues at all levels
? Evaluate all talent interventions and use the data to drive future decisions and actions
? Manage the customer facing elements of our digital learning platform, My Matalan including upload and maintenance of learning content and resources
? Drive your own development through identifying growth areas and share new knowledge across the Talent Team
About You
- Experience and confidence in delivering and facilitating all aspects of the training cycle, including TNA and evaluation
- Experience of designing and developing digital and face to face learning solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, in particular Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience of fast paced Head Office/Retail/Logistics environment
- L&D/Training related qualifications such as CIPD/CTP/Coaching or psychometrics desirable
