We have an exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources and Organisational Development (HR&OD) Team as a Leadership & Organisational Development Manager to contribute to the delivery of an excellent HR&OD service that supports the delivery of BUs vision, purpose, values, culture and strategic plan.

You will work in collaboration with the wider HR&OD teams and other key stakeholders to support faculties and services to deliver an excellent learning and development service that supports and values continuous learning and organisational development, talent and succession planning, transformation, staff recognition and staff engagement.

We are looking for an experienced leadership and organisational development specialist to join our team and who is ideally placed to contribute to building capacity and capability. Through the effective deployment and development of individuals and teams and an ability to identify organisationally aligned innovative solutions, that nurture and maximises potential, resilience, service excellence, continuous learning and development, inclusivity and wellbeing and high performance.

About you

You will have extensive experience of providing advice on and designing, delivering, implementing, measuring, evaluating and reporting on responsive and high quality, learning and organisational development, leadership, management and talent and succession development, recognition and engagement initiatives. You will have delivered this through a blend of highly effective, creative and innovative programmes, events and interventions that enhance the development and performance of organisations, staff and student experience, aligned to organisational priorities.

Using your insight and your experience you will build, support, nurture, measure and report on development, programmes and initiatives that enable and support sustainable and agile transformation and high performance.

You will also have experience of fully utilising psychometric tools and coaching and mentoring techniques and skills for both individuals and teams to support ongoing continuous learning and development that aligns with strategic priorities and the overall development and performance of Bournemouth University.

The successful candidate will be able to use their own initiative in order to prioritise and lead on a wide variety of organisational development activities. Excellent communication and engagement skills, attention to detail and strong organisational, interpersonal and time management skills are essential. Integrity, respect, a positive mind-set and caring approach are also important in this role and you will be highly motivated to provide an excellent, inclusive and proactive service.
