A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon role at a practice in the Welsh town of Aberdare. Offering stunning countryside, natural forests and Aberdare park this is an ideal location for an outdoor enthusiast. The big Cities of Cardiff and Swansea are also nearby.
Our client is a modern small animal practice offering up-to-date services including an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, dentistry and much more. You will be joining a talented and experienced veterinary team who work together to provide the highest standard of care possible.
The successful candidate must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills. You will have at least 3-5 years' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience. This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a leadership position with the ability to make sound clinical judgement but also enjoy interaction with team members.
You must be confident with most routine surgery and medicine, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working as part of a larger team. You must be happy with some sole charge responsibilities and share the values of our client in being caring, progressive and trustworthy.
Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa can be supported if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
- Full Time role Part time hours will be considered
- 4 day working week
- Salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience
- 5 weeks' annual leave
- 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)
