The Digital Experience Design (DXD) team is actively seeking an innovative and highly driven Product Designer who can help shape the products and services critical to JP Morgan's industry-leading Investment & Corporate Banking businesses, which serve private companies, public corporations, institutions, and governments with various offerings including fundraising for startups and corporations, guidance for companies looking to prioritize carbon transition, and insights for CEOs gaging investor influence.

J.P. Morgan is transforming the future of fintech by leveraging technologies such as data science, machine learning, blockchain, and biometrics, along with processes like Three Horizons, Design Thinking, and Lean to push digital innovation with the products we create . We partner with the Product, Tech and business users to deploy tools that progress the digital strategy leading the efforts to better serve the clients of JP Morgan in a highly competitive space.

Users of these products work fast-paced, data-intensive jobs within an already complex industry. The future tools and experiences we design must support these users and their most important business outcomes. To do our job well, as Product Designers, we utilize human-centered design to help us break through the industry jargon and bureaucracy and find insights for crafting solutions that have impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Be part of an established digital product and service division with a remit to change the bank introducing new approaches to problem-solving and innovation across various lines of business and their associated strategic initiatives.
  • Be a thought leader providing value across various functions and lines of business
  • Collaborate with and influence product owners, business sponsors, strategists, developers, and the rest of the design team. You'll play a key role helping realize the vision and defining the end to end product experience.
  • Leverage your communication skills by presenting your work to diverse stakeholders and the broader organization.
  • Craft concepts and solutions through journeys, blueprints, wireframes, motion studies, and prototypes at different levels of fidelity, articulating sophisticated product interactions.
  • Deliver work that is user-friendly, aesthetically engaging, and achieves results.
  • Help establish success criteria and participate in user validation throughout the design process.

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should:

  • Value teamwork, collaboration and transparency throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Be proficient with UX software such as Figma, Sketch and InVision.
  • Know how to build and maintain healthy relationships with business and technology partners and be an advocate for design thinking.
  • Understand how design translates to code.
  • Constantly push your limits and search for opportunities to become better in both craft and soft skills that help you become a better designer.
  • Have experience with user research and you place the customer's needs above your own preferences.
  • Understand and apply accessibility to design.
  • Have experience delivering design solutions in an enterprise, working closely with product and development teams.
  • Communicate well and be able to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions and explain your strategic intent.
  • Understand and practice the different phases of the user research and design process, validating hypotheses with users, effectively communicating concepts, creating low/high fidelity prototypes.
  • Have a portfolio available for review with examples of project experience that demonstrates strategic and conceptual thinking.
