Clover Learning Community is an alternative provision, based in Blaby, Leicestershire. We provide high quality education for KS3/4 students who struggle to access their mainstream provisions on a full-time basis.
Clover Learning Community has at its core the firm belief that all students can achieve well both academically and socially when afforded the right learning environment to meet their needs. We provide a small, nurturing, and low arousal environment that accommodates students to feel at ease, regulate their anxieties and engage in their learning.
We offer quality first teaching in maths and English as well as offering a variety of programmes to enhance the individual in their areas of personal interest.

Lead Teacher
Clover Learning Community are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher who can demonstrate a commitment to high standards of education and pastoral support to raise student achievement, progress and support their reintegration towards their appropriate pathway. As Lead Teacher, you will be able to inspire students, design and deliver excellent lessons, monitor student progress, and continue to collaboratively develop all aspects of Clover Learning Community life.

Job Description
The Post Holder will report to: Head of Centre
Main Tasks / Accountabilities
This is not intended to be an exhaustive or definitive list. You may be required to carry out other
duties where necessary.
As lead teacher you will:
· teach individuals and small groups of KS3 and KS4 students ensuring outstanding teaching and learning
· design and sequence lessons, and produce teaching resources, to support HLTAs in their delivery of maths lessons
· achieve successful outcomes for all students
· monitor student progress.
· use assessment to inform planning
· keep children safe in education
Principle accountabilities:
· to teach students referred to Clover Learning Community ensuring their good progression from starting points
· to plan for and deliver accredited vocational courses and enrichment activities where required
· to demonstrate effective teaching and learning using a range of strategies to ensure students referred to Clover Learning Community make good progress
· to develop personalised learning programmes according to individual student need
· to plan, sequence and deliver engaging schemes of work within an agreed curriculum framework, and to support HLTAs in their delivery of maths teaching
· to ensure school policy and procedures are followed
· to manage student behaviour in the classroom and in the provision as a whole
· to assess students using current best practice assessment tools, and set challenging targets to ensure effective and aspiring progress
· to keep up to date with local and national developments and ensure the curriculum is regularly reviewed and continually developing
· to build strong partnerships with commissioners, parents, students, and other providers
· to engage in relevant CPD and share outcomes with colleagues
· to be an effective team member
· to act as a positive role model and develop appropriate positive relationships with colleagues, other professionals and students
· to contribute to reports on and in meetings about student progress
· to agree a personal work programme with your line manager and undertake any reasonable duties as directed by them.
· to timetable and deploy support staff to secure best outcomes for students
Analysis, Reporting and Documentation:
· maintain and submit records following relevant provision policies and procedures
· respond to individual needs and/or answer simple queries politely and ask for assistance where necessary
· report any concerns, problems or incidents (e.g. safeguarding, behaviour) in accordance with relevant reporting procedures
· liaise and work in partnership with key leaders for other activities that may impact on your own areas of responsibilities
Work with others
· liaise, communicate and work in partnership with other internal departments, partner organisations, agencies and/or contractors and engage with the community and volunteers
· contribute to staff meetings and collaborative planning sessions

General Responsibilities:
· to follow agreed school policies on the curriculum and the management of behaviour
· to share in the supervision of students at break times, arrival and departure in accordance with published duties
· to take a share, under the direction of the leadership team, of the provision approaches towards the making, reviewing and updating of provision policies through formal meetings, discussion and consultation
· to write and record student reports (as required and agreed)
· to be flexible in terms of carrying out particular duties as the head of centre may reasonably direct from time to time.

You must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post. It is a requirement that staff have their own car and business insurance, so they can transport students when required.
