Job Description


We're looking for a Lead QA to join the ASOS tech team to work with the Commercial Integration Platforms.

The Commercial Tech teams build, implement and support a broad range of technology solutions used by our business stakeholders across the ASOS Merchandising, Planning, Wholesale and Studio teams. A globally distributed and talented group of individuals join together to deliver ‘best in class’ technology solutions to the ASOS Commercial teams.

You’ll work with the team to shape the testing strategy for Commercial Integration, working closely with not just the QA Engineers but the Software Engineers, Platform Engineers and Architects. You’ll help make sure they have the support they need to continuously improve their testing and engineering practices. Identifying what good looks like and helping them go forward and achieve it.

What you'll be doing:

  • Liaise key stakeholders to understand the needs of Engineering and Operations teams in relation to the path to live, understanding where Reliability Engineering can help improve reliability and velocity.
  • Create and own a roadmap with clear milestones and dependencies
  • Be point of contact for all things Quality for Commercial Integration
  • Lead your team to bring out the best in all team members, seeking high engagement, performance and retention
  • Manage third party engagements
  • Improve the availability of Commercial Tech environment, and ensure that test coverage is constantly reviewed
  • Work with projects and platforms to understand their testing requirements and collaborating with delivery QAs on test approaches
  • Drive the day-to-day operations, monitoring and maintenance of the team to ensure reliable, predictable and efficient service

Qualifications


Who we'd like to meet:

An experienced QA with a strong interest in leadership, agile ways of working and DevOps, testing and environment management, with experience of the following:

  • Working in a large and complex Tech department with a variety of technologies and ways of working
  • Working with multiple and varied stakeholders, balancing complex and competing needs
  • Working in teams that have leveraged use of automation – with a strong appreciation of the benefits and limitations of automation testing
  • Leading both internal and external teams and working with a combination of onshore/offshore/nearshore and remote working teams
  • Experience working with Azure or equivalent vendors
  • Experience with Large scale integrations and is familiar with integration patterns and technology (MuleSoft, BOOMI, Azure Logic apps or similar)
  • Experience with Java or similar Languages for the use of automation
  • Strong coaching and mentoring experience
