Location: London Speechmark + (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri
Contract duration: 12 Month FTC

Device Operations, Products and Services sits in the Consumer Business Unit (also supporting the Enterprise Business Unit) in Vodafone UK and has a reporting line into Vodafone Group Product & Services. The purpose of our team is to evaluate, build, deliver and manage in life market leading, profitable products & services which deliver great customer experiences.


What you’ll do


The purpose of the Lead Product Manager – Mobile Projects is to ensure we deliver a number of projects that ladder up into our overall strategic programme to ensure we are on the front foot within the SIM technology space. For these projects you’ll map & deliver innovative customer journeys, review processes, identify & resolve issues as they arise. You’ll also be looking to the future - keeping an eye on emerging trends and key technologies to ensure Vodafone is fit for the future. Working with the leads across a matrix team of Marketing, Operations, IT & Digital professionals, you’ll ensure your parts of the programme are tightly managed and controlled, ensuring the design, build and deployment of new capability happens smoothly. You’ll manage a broad range of senior stakeholders to ensure delivery vs the plan and ensure issues/risks are escalated to the right level.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:


  • Project Management of several large scale, multi-channel projects including regular updates, communication of risks, issues, project spend & required decisions to and from stakeholders
  • Identifying, communicating, and monitoring the delivery of dependencies such as platform, data & integrations to align with the business & technical delivery plan.
  • Ensuring you are delivering the best customer experience for both existing and new capabilities/features
  • Be the leader and figure head for all activities relating to our SIM & 5GSA projects, working with an engaged, highly performing team.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with both external partners and internal stakeholders (e.g. Segment, Marketing, Base & Group teams)
  • Securing adequate resource and achieving buy-in and approval for activities, from stakeholder management to formal board approvals
  • Identifying issues and escalation management where these can’t be easily unblocked
  • Staying abreast of market trends, across competitors, consumer behaviour and technology - identify opportunities and threats including ways to mitigate


Who you are


  • Senior level experience or Significant experience in Mobile/Telco industry ideally in product or networks.
  • Commercial understanding/acumen of business KPI’s and an entrepreneurial mind.
  • Ability to successfully navigate complex matrix organisations
  • Ability to communicate, influence and engage across the business with all levels of stakeholders - up to C-suite
  • High levels of EQ with the ability to bring people together
  • Ability to interpret the wider business context in relation to your area of responsibility
  • Strong track record in leading and motivating cross functional teams to execute to a high standard.
  • Proven expertise in product, programme & project management, and delivery
  • Experience in a complex, multi-national environment.
