As Lead Product Designer you will be responsible for UX and visual design across our mobile and web apps. You will ensure that there is a consistent and delightful user experience across all our websites and apps. You will conduct user and competitor research, define our information architecture, define our brand and design guidelines, and create wireframes, prototypes, and finished visual designs. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and marketers to build great products that deliver value to our users.

You will also lead and build the design team, establishing best practice ways of working and processes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Building a high-performance design team and establishing best practices
  • Building prototypes and wireframes for our mobile and web apps
  • Creating finished visual designs
  • Defining information architecture
  • Owning the end-to-end user experience across all our platforms
  • Customer and competitor analysis
  • Testing and iterating
  • Working with the engineering team to implement designs
  • Understanding product requirements and translating them into detailed user journeys, wireframes and finished designs
  • Exploring and communicating interaction and design concepts through wireframes, sketches, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, and high fidelity mockups, which serve as a foundation for you to build clickable interactive prototypes


Skills Knowledge and Expertise


The preferred candidate MUST have
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a full-time multidisciplinary designer.
    • A portfolio showing your work across a range of projects and brands. This should showcase your work on responsive web apps and native mobile apps.
    • Worked at a tech start-up before and are comfortable in a fast paced environment.
    • Experience managing and mentoring designers.
    • Strong experience with Figma and other key design tools.
    • Experience working with atomic design systems
    • Enthusiasm for lean thinking, design sprints, and iterative design.
    • Passion for design leadership and communication
    • A broad understanding that spans visual design, branding, HCI, usability, information design, interaction design, responsive web design and UX.
    • Mastery of both wireframing and visual design
    • Strong experience creating low-fidelity wireframes through to high-fidelity clickable prototypes
    • Experience defining information architectures
    • Strong ability to collaborate with developers on implementation.
The preferred candidate SHOULD have
  • Understanding of product management, requirements gathering, product strategy.
  • Experience creating motion graphics
