A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles. WHAT TO EXPECT: The main purpose of the role is lead programme development of Wiper and Washer Sytems and delivery ensuring the Commodity Strategy is deployed robustly into the programmes. Body Engineering is one of the larger teams within the JLR PD organisation. The department has complete responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of all JLR Interior and Exterior systems from concept design through to volume production. WHAT YOU'LL DO Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Lead and develop Wiper and Washer systems, including management & progression of issues relating to both product and process of cleaning screens, lighting and ADAS sensors. Lead internal department resolution and manage the supplier base. Deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time, including maintaining the BOM within JLR system. Manage Change Requests, expenditure forecasting and the relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of the programme milestones. Resolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targets. On site working at supplier and JLR build locations will be required. Ensure all programme design solutions meet: Programme targets for cost and weight Legal regulations and Requirements Management & Design Verification documentation Ensure all appropriate JLR standards are met through-out design maturation. Keep all Module documentation up to date including: Meeting minutes Foundation and Programme Design analysis documents Provide input into new feature development. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Previous experience of leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes. Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred. Desirable: Previous experience within engineering or programme planning departments. Use of Agile Methodology in delivering complex components/ sub-systems. Technical and practical knowledge of wiper and/ or washer systems and BIW or Electrical JLR
