Are you an established Lead Driver, with experience of delivering furniture to customer’s premises? If the answer to these questions is yes, then read on as we are currently recruiting Lead Drivers to join us working on our contract delivering products on behalf of our client IKEA from our base in Croydon.

The role is full-time, and you will be working any 4 in 4 off shift patterns, on a 42-hour contract, overtime is available on top of this. The salary for this role is £32,760. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Be able to manage communicate effectively with both team members and the customer- Reporting any accidents or incidents to supervisors immediately
- Monitoring driver progress throughout the day.
- Concise communication with customers and receiving depots.
- Debriefing drivers.
- Keeping workflows up to date.
- Create and maintain a culture where Health and Safety is a priority.
- Ensure Workplace Organisation standards are adhered to at all times.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Excellent customer services skills- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ideally, prior experience in a lead driver role
- A good telephone manner as you will be calling customers while on route
- To create the behaviour of working together and sharing best practices, fostering networks and collaborating with colleagues within site to resolve issues.
