Lead Developer
Up to £74,750 (inclusive of a non-consolidated allowance) Plus Excellent Benefits
Location – Pier Walk, North Greenwich / Remote Working
This an Opportunity to be the Lead Developer in one of our Agile development teams, working on our business-critical systems such as Road User Charging and Contactless.

Join us, and you could be responsible for leading the development of revenue systems in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll lead the technology in a team of skilled software developers using latest Agile practices including, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery to deliver software that’s used by millions of Londoners every day. We’ll rely on you to develop very high throughput back-office applications deployed on the latest Microsoft Azure services.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with your peers to ensure that TfL is using the right technologies and you’ll be responsible for the technical direction of an Agile development team. You’ll also work with other Development Technical Leads across multiple Scrum teams to produce coordinated and integrated high-quality working software.
In order to be successful, you’ll be an expert in Back-office or Financial Systems Development with proven experience of working on large scale systems in a high throughput, agile environment.

You’re passionate about clean code and modern technical design and have a production-first DevOps attitude. You have an excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Development toolset; C#, .NET, and Azure Services. Experience developing high volume systems handling thousands of transactions per second are must haves.
