Your new role
- An exciting opportunity for a Lead Cleaning Technician to join our team.
- The role will be Monday-Friday 6.30am-2.30pm with occasional weekend work.
- You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting or facilities as part of the overall Quality Assurance and safety programme for the cell and gene therapies we produce

Co-ordinate cleaning and disinfection operations from external contractors and internal teams across RoslinCT’s facilities including:
- Daily pre-operational cleans
- Post engineering cleans
- Weekly cleans
- Three monthly and/or six monthly deep cleans
- Removal of waste including liquid, hazardous, and biological materials
- Stocking of gown materials e.g. gloves, socks, face masks.
- Ensure contract compliance, regulatory compliance, and the maintenance of high-quality standards at all times.
- Ensure all cleaning operations are executed according to RoslinCT’s standard operating procedures.
- Ensure cleaning forms, log books and other records are completed to an acceptable level of good documentation practice and are reviewed on a weekly basis.
- Co-ordinate onboarding and training of new team members as well as refresher training.
- Co-ordinate equipment purchase.
- Partner with the Supply Chain department in respect of raw material requirements and planning.
- Evolving the cleaning provision in line with company expansion and needs.
- Efficient stock control of equipment/inventory/chemicals.
- An element of ‘hands-on’ cleaning work will be expected- it is anticipated the role will be approximately 50% 'hands-on'.
About you
- Experience working within a cGMP cleanroom Manufacturing environment or a similarly controlled scientific/hospital environment.
- Experience of line managing a team.
- Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to plan ahead whilst delivering results to deadline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to effectively manage and influence stakeholders’ and customer expectations.
- Excellent administration and record keeping skills.
- Ability to learn and share knowledge with the wider manufacturing team where appropriate.
- Excellent attention to detail with a desire to continually develop and improve our processes.
- A determination to continually develop and improve standards.
- Takes responsibility for setting high standards and looks at the bigger picture to recognise the impact of actions.
