Head of Business Analysis: £50k - £70k

Opportunity to join a market leading software company serving customers in the Energy sector.

You will lead, support and line manage a team of Business Analysts, Product Owners, Agile Delivery Managers and User Experience designers across multiple products and projects.

As Head of Business Analysis you will:

  • Lead a team working on multiple products and projects, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge and support required to excel in their roles
  • Provide Expertise in Business Analysis and agile change delivery through each stage of the SDLC
  • Constantly assess and evaluate the design and delivery function to ensure effectiveness in line with current best practice
  • Identify and define support needs for the team to help drive their ongoing development
  • Support, mentor and line manage members of staff
  • Carry out general team management activities such as, annual appraisals, team meetings, approving holidays etc.
  • Allocate work to team leads and ensure they are empowered to deliver effectively
  • Carry out Business Analyst and Product Owner duties where required
  • Work closely with the Software Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering to ensure the department is running as effectively as possible by feeding into resource plans, risk assessments etc.
  • Support the wider business as required, for example working with sales to provide professional advice and insight that will help secure the sale and act as a source of continuous expertise throughout the sales process
  • Take overall responsibility for the work produced within the team
  • Provide regular progress updates, including risks and issues to the Director of Engineering
  • Work with the User Experience lead to understand, advocate and support the growth of User Experience adoption
  • Work with senior stakeholders across the business to understand and manage their needs and expectations
  • Develop, maintain, and expand your industry knowledge and that of the team, ensuring it remains consistent with the latest industry baseline & cognizant of forthcoming industry change

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Senior business analyst role
  • Energy Industry experience is highly desirable
  • Business Analysis and change qualifications are desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
