Here at the West Brom we are currently hiring a Lead Business Analyst to join our growing team as we enact transformational change across the IT function and the wider business. This role would suit an experienced Business Analyst who is looking to make the step up into a lead position where you will lead on complex projects, handle the task allocation of Business Analysts and Junior Business Analysts on these projects and offer support to improve the overall team.

The key responsibilities involve working across these core services:

  • Project Scope & Goal Refinement – Refining the scope and goals of a project in order to develop a shared understanding across all stakeholders both technical and non-technical.
  • Requirements Definition – You will elicit, analyse, validate and document requirements for business and IT change initiatives in a wide variety of different project streams.
  • Solution Verification - Evaluate the proposed solution to assess the degree of fit in which it satisfies the business needs.
  • Business Acceptance Testing Support - Support business users in the testing of business and IT changes to ensure acceptability.
  • Business Change Deployment - Support the deployment of business and IT changes to ensure a smooth transition.

The key skills and experience required are:

  • You will need to have extensive experience in all stages of the varied workload of Business Analysis; from project scope and goal refinement all the way through to business deployment and review.
  • You will need relevant experience in managing work demand. Experience in leading analysis resources is preferred but not essential
  • You will be an expert communicator, being able to work at all levels of the business and know what to ask to find out the necessary information from different departments.
  • The ability to understand complex business problems is a crucial element to this role; having come from a background of complex and multiple project streams would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working in financial services or a similarly highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
