Job description
Grade 6 (£22,328 - £24,469)
37 Hours per week, 41 weeks
Flexible/Term Time working would be considered.
Required for September 2023
The St John Bosco Catholic Multi-Academy are seeking to appoint a Lay Chaplain or Chaplain Assistant for September 2023 to work across our two secondary schools within the multi-academy which are based in Dudley and Wednesbury, Sandwell.
Our Mission
We nurture the unique God-given talents of every individual, providing a quality, distinctively Catholic education to our diverse community.
Following the success of our current Lay Chaplain, who is soon to embark on a teacher training course, we wish to continue to inspire and support the spiritual and prayer life of our secondary schools where Christ is always at the centre of all that we say and do.
The successful candidate will be passionate in communicating and sharing their love of the Lord, whilst working in conjunction with our Chaplains, Senior Leaders, R.E Departments and Student Chaplaincy Teams in both schools. You will also have the exciting opportunity of working with colleagues in our six primary schools. Your working week will be split evenly between the two schools over a two-week period (e.g. 3/2 days & 2/3 days) unless there is a significant event or celebration taking place at a particular school which requires more of your time. Any travel costs between schools during a working day can be claimed and reimbursed.
This role would suit somebody who has a passion for working with children, is ambitious, has good communication skills and who wants to make a difference in Catholic education.
Further details are available from Miss Laura Bayliss.
Telephone: 01384 889422 ext 154 or Email: [email protected]
Visits to the schools are most welcome.
