Established in 1975, McHugh Whitmore LLP offers a full-service legal practice which includes Business, Real Estate, Land Development, Litigation, Wills & Estates and Collaborative Family Law. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and update minute books
- Assist with a variety of corporate transactions and matters, including sales and purchases of businesses as well as corporate reorganizations
- Draft, review and revise legal documentation
- Correspond with clients, other law firms and accountants
- Incorporate, amalgamate, dissolve and continue corporations
- Perform and review a variety of corporate searches
- Complete security registrations
- Perform other corporate-commercial filings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a Corporate-Commercial department
- Legal administration/law clerk diploma and/or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in the following software: MS Word, Outlook, PC Law, Emergent, ECore, ESC, DocuSign, Zoom and Kofax (PDF) is preferred

- Knowledge of how to incorporate a corporation
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong aptitude to understand files
- Great team player – robust focus on collegiality
- Strong communication skills
