Job description
Brambles is a care home for 27 residents, Older adults and with different needs. Their clothes are very important to them and we need to provide a good service that is timely, you will be expected to go into residents rooms and care for their belongings.
Some learning training will be given and practical induction. For a few weeks will be supporting the other staff member going on Mat leave.
We are friendly and supportive, hours may suit in to school times if needed.
Laundry
Responsible to: The Manager
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
· To be aware of the resident’s laundry needs.
· To ensure that every client is presented with clean and well maintained laundry
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· To manage the laundry procedures and required processing of laundry, thereby preventing unnecessary build up.
· To ensure that all residents clothing is clearly marked and that the name is not conspicuous.
· To ensure a supply of detergent of fabric conditioner are always available
· To be responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment and the daily removal of fluff from the dryers filter, and reporting any defects to the person in charge.
· To ensure the correct use of laundry bags with particular regard to soiled and infected lined.
· To allocate clothes to their appropriate baskets.
· To keep the laundry room and store area in a clean and hygienic condition
· To perform other reasonable duties as may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £11.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
