Job description

A major UK developer of Lasers for industrial applications and materials processing seeks a Laser Development Engineer. Working on the full development life cycle from concept to post-supply you will be working on the development of cost effective laser sources with a focus on Lamp Pumped or Diode Pumped NdYAG Lasers and NdYVO4 Lasers used for Laser marking, Laser Engraving and Laser Welding applications where you will be looking at design aspects such as Harmonic Generation, Optical Fibre Beam Delivery and Laser Optics systems. BSc/PhD+ in Physics with an Optics or Laser focus. Industrial experience with NdYAG preferred, though Laser or Optics specialist graduates will be considered at MSc+ level. Some knowledge of C02 Lasers advantageous.
