Fusion5 is a company in Durham specialising in sales and repairs of electronics, primarily android and windows devices.
We are requiring a new team member to join us full time over a 6 month period to assist with repairs.
This job is suited to anyone who has an interest in IT (Mainly Hardware based repairs) and shows a willing to quickly learn and adapt in a fast paced working environment.
The key responsibilities of the Repair Technician:
- Consistently ensure that the efficiency and quality of each repair processed is to a high standard.
- Carry out diagnosis between software and hardware faults
- Perform preliminary functional test to reproduce fault/s
- Carry out final quality control test to ensure a good quality of repair is met
We welcome any candidate that have experience of:
- Electronic repair on high end mobile phones such as connectors, LCDs and touchscreen
replacement.
- Good soldering and rework skills on electronics including but not limited to PCB's.
- Up to date knowledge of modern technology, primarily Android and Windows based
devices.
- Experience of working within a targeted, fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
Day to day duties include but are not limited to:
- Diagnosis of devices that contain a variety of faults ranging from hardware to software.
- Keeping a clean workspace
Experience required:
- IT Background Preferred
- Pearson BTEC Level 3 IT or Equivalent but not necessary based on Skill/Knowledge
Hours: 32 hours per week
Pay rate: £12 - 17 based on Knowledge/Skill Level
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months
Salary: £12.00-£17.00 per hour
