The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to become part of our growing team in the West and build a strong career in landscape architecture. Our constantly growing portfolio of work includes strategic wins such as Bristol Strategic Partnership and framework agreements with Environmental Agency and Natural Resources Wales, as well as national infrastructure developers, many local authorities and a number of public realm projects with private clients.
As a Landscape Architect within Arup, you will be working alongside an unrivalled community of experts, who will support and nurture your growth from the outset. The Arup portfolio is exciting and diverse, exposing you to a range of project scales and types, each offering their own opportunities for personal development and training. You will have the opportunity to help in generating social value and tangible benefits through landscape design.
Is this role right for you?
You will be able to demonstrate exceptional design skill with a people centric approach with a degree and/or a post graduate diploma or MA in Landscape Architecture. The role will involve aiding in the preparation of high-quality bid submissions and help prepare scope and fee proposals for a wide range of landscape work. You will be experienced in feasibility studies with strong concept design skills and a high level of technical awareness in the detail design of the public realm.
The successful candidate should be keen to work within a team and confident in presenting and resolving complex design issues. They should be able to demonstrate excellent written English and graphic skills and have a sound knowledge of key software programmes including Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. They would ideally also have Skills in using Revit). Advanced knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS), 3d modelling software would also be advantageous.
The role is open to our Bristol and Cardiff offices. It will involve work on domestic and international projects. The candidate would therefore need travel to sites and offices across the UK and occasionally abroad, the candidate needs to hold a UK driving license.
