Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced surveyor & AutoCAD draughtsperson to carry out Measured Building Surveys and produce accurate as-built drawings.
The ideal candidate would be experienced in carrying out building surveys using a laser scanner and/or handheld laser devices. Knowledge of AutoCAD essential and candidates must show proven ability to use survey data/notes to produce Plans, Elevations and Sections using AutoCAD.
The role will require the candidate to take on responsibility of survey and drawing tasks, working independently or as part of a small team. The role is ideal for an experienced surveyor to take on a more proactive role in job running and management and contribute to the expansion of the company.
Plan London Ltd are a long-established company based in South East London, with a strong repeat client base that has been built up over the last 19 years. We are a small company working on large projects with leading property developers. Our work includes producing drawings for architects, as built checks and area calculations on new developments, and Land registry compliant Lease & Title plans. Most of our work is in London however, we carry out surveys all over UK.
Job essentials –
- Proven experience in carrying out measured building surveys
- Ability to produce Plans, Elevations and Sections from survey data/notes to a high standard
- Fully conversant with AutoCAD
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Must be physically fit and able to carry survey equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all level
- Reliable and resourceful
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Job desirables –
- UK Drivers licence
- Experience using 3D Laser Scanner and working from point cloud data.
- Risk assessment preparation
- Knowledge of RICS Code of Measuring Practice
- CSCS card holder
This role offers a competitive salary depending on experience and is permanent upon completion of a 6-month probationary period. The job will be office based in London with site surveys all over UK. On limited occasions overnight stays may be required. Remote working possible at times.
