Since then they have flourished and became one of the foremost wholesalers, providing fantastic quality women’s clothing. The client base is made up of fashion forward companies, including independent clothing retailers and major high street fashion stores, in the UK and internationally.
We are seeking a creative and ambitious candidate for a Ladies Wear Fashion Designer position based in Manchester. An effective knowledge of fabric/materials and an excellent design portfolio are essential for this role. It is also important that the applicant has strong experience working with print and graphics for apparel. They must be passionate with creative flair and the applicant must have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in a fast paced environment. A good level of spoken/written English is required for this role.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Research and keep up to date with the latest fashion trends.
Use fashion knowledge and research to gain inspiration for designs.
Use creative ability to design exciting and unique designs for production.
Ensure designs are completed accurately by effectively collaborating with the warehouse and manufacturing team.
Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, customers and factories.
Ensure excellent standards of garments and clothing are maintained.
Produce samples to effectively communicate your ideas to the manufacturing team.
Follow all company regulations and policies.
Have excellent company and product knowledge.
Deliver excellent customer service at all times and handle customer queries/complaints in a professional methodical manner.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be/have:
An excellent portfolio showcasing your work.
A degree in Fashion Design, Design or a related discipline.
Creative flair to produce exciting and original ideas.
A strong interest in fashion, styles and trend forecasting.
Good working knowledge of fabric and materials.
Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and time management
Passionate with a can-do attitude
A keen eye for detail
Ambitious and driven within the fashion industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure.
