GENERAL SUMMARY
Working as part of Celeros Operations team, we are looking for a motivated Labourer to help with workshop related jobs on and around the site. Duties of the Labourer include helping move and collect materials, set up tools and help with general workshop activities. The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, punctual, ready to help and learn.
A successful Labourer will be ready to help where there is a need and able to learn new skills that will later help to expand your work.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
On an ongoing basis, the labourer must assume full responsibility and will be held accountable for the following duties:
LABOURER PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Moves, collects, and sets up materials
- Moves, collects, and sets up tools
- Clean up worksite from hazardous or obsolete material
- Cleaning up worksite from debris
- Performing setup and clean-up tasks on site
- Operating heavy machinery, such as forklifts and floor cleaning machine
- Assist welders, machine shop, painters or assembly teams on-site when required
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks when required
- Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passers-by
- Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
- Helps with different types of jobs on and around the site
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Some or little manufacturing experience.
- Familiar with tools used in a manufacturing site.
- Able to collaborate and work with others.
- A licence for counterbalance forklifts for transporting materials and tools is essential.
- Operate the overhead cranes
- Experience with LOBO range scaffolding (desirable)
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Due to the areas of work, this role will require security clearance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment of various sizes. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
