We are looking for a Community Food Development Worker to work with our Child Healthy Weight Team.
The role of a Community Food Development Worker is to work with local partners, education and communities to develop sustainable food activities, in particular the development of Why Weight programmes and activities and to assist Why Weight staff in the delivery of the Forth Valley Child Healthy Weight Implementation Plan.
The Forth Valley Child Health Weight Team is a friendly and proactive group providing a range of services within Forth Valley NHS and Community Services. Part of the Community Dietetic Healthier Future Team, the work of the Child Healthy Weight Team focuses on early intervention and importantly engagement with groups who have demonstrated limited engagement with health initiatives. All team members are expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings and when necessary provide some cover to other parts of the service.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk
