Ground worker / Labourer
JRL Plant & Logistics - Biggleswade
Contract: Permanent
Salary:

Since 1996 we have grown from a business specialising in sub and super structures to a multi-million pound construction group head quartered in North London housing depots in Biggleswade, Elstree, Peterborough and Nottingham.
This fast paced role will require you to have experience within a similar role and great attention to detail.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Clearing the construction site of vegetation or carrying out any other site clearance
- Removing old drainage or other pipework systems
- Leading any necessary demolition required to enable site work
- Preparing the ground for the building team to lay the foundations
- Setting up the construction site
- Digging trenches and laying concrete
- Laying pavement, driveways and kerbs
Skills & Qualities:
- Be enthusiastic and hard-working
- Have basic numeracy skills
- Be able to work as part of a construction team
- Be resilient to various weather conditions
- Have physical strength and stamina
- Be able to use architects’ drawings and structural engineers’ specifications
- Know how to operate plant machinery, including trucks and excavators
