Job description
We are excited to be able to offer an excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Laboratory team. There is a requirement to be able to work from both our Wickford and Basildon based Laboratories depending on the project being undertaken.
SBZ Corporation is the privately-owned global organisation specialising in the formulation, manufacture, and global distribution of fuel and lubricant additives, base oils, and speciality products for the oil industry. We offer an extensive portfolio of products to meet the needs of international oil groups, fuel storage, supply terminals, fuel blenders, lubricant manufacturers, and fuel wholesalers and industries worldwide.
The purpose of the role is to support the smooth running of the laboratory. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will work closely with cross functional teams including sales, production, and customer operations, to ensure we continually meet customer needs and requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
Testing and Sampling
- All in-house testing of raw materials
- All in-house testing of finished products
- All reporting and recording of all test results
- For the upkeep and ordering of all consumables required for the laboratory
- All sample disposal
- Produce laboratory blends when requested
To support in development projects as and when required
Provide support to the Laboratory Manager as required
Ensure the laboratory is kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times
Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained and raise any maintenance queries to the
Laboratory Manager
Responsible for meeting personal and departmental objectives
Perform any other duties or related tasks as requested
