
Laboratory Technician Stockport, England
Job description
30 hours per week (mon -wed, tue-thurs or mon-thurs)
Responsibilities:
- Carryout the preparation and extraction of samples ready for analysis
- Work to UKAS standards (ISO 17025 and MCERTS) to ensure that the agreed quality standards and requirements

Ensure that all work carried out complies with documented procedures and samples are handled correctly
Highlight any abnormalities or deviations from the method - Effectively communicate with co-workers and superiors
- Prepare standards and solutions
- Accurately record data
- Monitor lab consumables
- Understand the tasks you are performing and the importance of them within the laboratory
- Compliance with company health and safety requirements, adopting a proactive safety attitude to ensure the safety of self and others
- Good General education including English and Maths
- Highly motivated and organised individual
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
