CHEMICALS/MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION INDUSTRY
Albotherm is a deep tech start-up company founded in 2020 after spinning out from the University of Bristol. We have developed responsive coatings that reflect excess light and heat only in hot weather, keeping buildings and greenhouses cool without any energy input. Our coatings will help combat climate change, by reducing global electricity consumption by up to 3%.
Our initial products are for commercial greenhouses, where we can help growers produce up to 34% more food. After successful proof of concept trials last summer we are now expanding our team following raising a seed investment round. We will be using this funding to continue optimising our product offering, leading to commercial pilots and launching our first product line.
We are currently looking for a laboratory assistant, with experience in formulation chemistry to join our expanding team.

You will be working closely with our R&D team including our CTO and will be working on projects including manufacturing prototypes for customer trials, quality control, aiding the research team in meeting deliverables and helping maintain an organised and clean lab environment.
The role will largely be laboratory based and involve formulating and testing our developed technologies. It will require the candidate to work to tight deadlines, manage relationships with various team members as well as being able to quickly trouble-shoot problems to resolve issues head-on during the product development cycle. As part of our focused team, the candidate will form an integral part of our R&D team.
