YouSeq is a biotechnology company that makes molecular testing kits that are used in hospitals and labs around the world to help fight cancer and other diseases.
We are looking for a meticulous individual to join our team on a temporary basis to help manufacture and dispatch testing kits. The successful candidate will, after training, play an important role in our daily operational responsibilities. On the surface our manufacturing processes are simple: They all centre around putting chemicals in tubes. But to do it efficiently and at scale takes precision, organisation and brilliant record keeping.
YouSeq is a start-up and this role comes with all the fun that that brings. Your work-life will be varied and fast moving. You’ll need to be ready to pivot and move as the company grows. Although the role is temporary, the business is growing quickly and there may be opportunities for full-time employment in future.
The ideal candidate will be well-organised, friendly and a good communicator. Essentially this is an assistant role to help and support the daily operational activities of the company.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Stocktaking
- Purchasing and Goods-in
- Dispatch and shipment of customer orders
- Maintenance of stocks levels of basic components (including some basic pipetting)
- Daily calibration and data monitors logging
Essential skills/experience:
· Demonstrable organisational skills
· Good work ethic and willing to learn
· Good communicator and team player
Desirable
· Science based A-Level
