Your role:

We have a excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Glasgow team on a 12 months FTC. As a Laborartory Assistant you will perform a wide variety of routine tasks to support GLP/ GMP laboratories. Responsibilities include housekeeping, preparation of reagents, stock control and general equipment maintenance. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with support services, scientists and laboratory personnel will be critical for success in the role.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum Standard Grade English and Mathematics level C or equivalent

  • The ideal candidate will have a qualification in biological sciences or related subject (e.g. HNC or equivalent)

  • Laboratory experience is not essential for this role but would be advantageous

  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment (GLP/GMP) would be advantageous

  • Experience of data entry, both paper and computer based, would be advantageous

  • Adheres to health and safety procedures and actively takes necessary action when encountering unsafe situations

  • You have good planning and organisational skills

  • You have good communication and interpersonal skills

  • You are self motivated with strong initiative and drive, enjoys working hard and full of energy for the things you see challenging

  • You have a good standard of written and spoken English
