Our network of more than 1,000 laboratories and offices in more than 100 countries, delivers innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification solutions for our customer’s operations and supply chains.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Analyst to join our Laboratory team. Working at the Intertek South Hook Laboratory, you will analyse site effluent water and natural gas samples in accordance with industry standards and client requirements. Additionally, you will be required to work in our Waterston Laboratory testing samples of petroleum products taken from the terminals located on the Milford Haven waterway.
The role:
- Performing testing using established test methods
- Interpretation of test data and provision of meaningful conclusions based on test results
- Compiling customer reports. and providing advice to customers on the results of testing and other issues relating to product analysis
- Developing/commissioning new test methods and equipment as required
- Ensuring compliance with relevant quality and accreditation procedures
- Providing occasional support to our other laboratory teams
The role will be based at the Intertek Laboratory located at the South Hook LNG Terminal. As an Analyst, you will be required to work a 40-hour week but will need to be flexible in terms of hours and travel as some occasional travel may be required within the UK.

About You:
- Previous experience in the laboratory environment within the Oil & Gas sector would be desirable
- Education to degree level in a scientific discipline is a mandatory requirement of our client for this role
- Willing to work unsociable
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good customer facing skills
- Full driving UK license
