Job Title: Lab Receptionist

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Provide first point of contact at the Dental Technology Laboratory reception for staff, students and any guests or visitors
  • Ensure all work entering the laboratory conforms with local cross infection policy and refuse receipt if not
  • Book patient work in and out
  • Track the pathway of patient work and help locate this work
  • Assign a technician’s name to each job and ensure incoming work is delivered to that technician
  • Produce a Statement of Conformity as required by the MHRA
  • Keep a record of patient prescriptions

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Microsoft package knowledge – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
