Job description
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, friendly and flexible individual to join the Blood Transfusion Department as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. You must have a keen interest in science and healthcare and you must be prepared to learn.
The successful applicant will form a key part of the Blood Transfusion team processing specimens and supporting the Biomedical Scientists to ensure transfusion testing and blood component provision is carried out safely, effectively and efficiently.
The main qualities required for this role are excellent levels of attention to detail and concentration with good communication and team working skills. Training can be given to those who have not worked in a clinical laboratory before although experience working in a Blood Transfusion Laboratory is desirable.
