Based in the heart of Leeds, Zolv creates bespoke technical web solutions, primarily aimed at holiday operating companies. We do that by creating customer specific websites and have built our own in-house (CMS) content management system, empowering our clients to take ownership of their business websites to promote sales and visual impact to attract customers to their premium brand products.
Zolv’s team of 15 in-house experts work with our clients to define their digital vision, design, and engineer transformational products. Our work helps to solve business challenges for the likes of Kuoni travel, CV Villas, Albatross Tours and Ramblers Walking holidays, technology that moves.

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Software Tester Apprentice with Zolv, a bespoke web application development company based in the centre of Leeds. Your role will be varied and provide a valuable output of checking our solutions match the customer’s vision.
Job Description:
Test Analysts have a hugely important role within our business and require a
broad range of skills. You will be assisting in the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases for software applications.
You will work closely with the design and development teams to ensure that software meets business and technical requirements, as well as meeting the customer’s visual requirements of their website. This role will involve mainly manual testing, as well as reporting and tracking defects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology and a desire to learn more about both manual and automation software testing.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of but not limited to:
- Create and execute test cases that fit defined functional requirements.
- Manage test suites, ensuring traceability and reproducibility.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults reported by clients to establish incident Priority.
- Maintain relevant documentation.
- Communicate with developers and stakeholders to ensure complete testing coverage and progress to clients.
- Stay current with new testing tools and technologies.
- Participate in team ceremonies.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths).

Future prospects:
The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.
Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Software Tester, with training in how to:
- Ensure that the software used within your business operates as intended.
- Design and prepare test plans and conduct software testing as appropriate to ensure your software is fit for purpose.
- Collect and interpret the results of testing and make appropriate recommendations.
- Understand the software lifecycle and apply software development practices.
- Document and report test results.
- Store, manage and share test data in a secure manner.
