Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a DevOps Engineer with Corefinity, a Web Hosting Company based in Leeds.
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer Apprentice to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment processes. This apprenticeship program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of our web hosting services.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Collaborate with experienced DevOps engineers to assist in designing and implementing efficient and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Gain practical experience in deploying and managing applications and services on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Learn to automate and streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in production environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and deployment practices through research and adoption of new tools and technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators, to support and enhance our web hosting.
- Learn and adhere to security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our infrastructure and customer data.
- Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced DevOps engineers, actively seeking opportunities to learn and grow your skills in DevOps engineering.
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning, staying updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in DevOps methodologies and technologies.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Bash, or
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google
- Understanding of containerisation technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and collaboration

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 DevOps Engineer, with training in how to:
- Write scripts and coding to meet your business’
- Develop and deploy software and cloud infrastructure.
- Build and operate a Continuous Integration (CI)
- Implement and improve release automation and orchestration.
- Use security tools and techniques for software development.
- Evolve and define IT
- Follow test driven development and ensure appropriate coverage.
