Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Services Apprentice with Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS Trust based in Sleaford.

Job Description:

As part of the role you will be expected to work as a helpful and supportive colleague to other members of the team and all stakeholders. Undertake aspects of analysis and administration and general housekeeping tasks including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Inputting and retrieving information from relevant electronic systems ensuring a high level of accuracy and quality of data.
  • Answering the telephone, addressing initial enquiries in a helpful, courteous manner and where necessary, escalate to appropriate colleague.
  • Keeping up to date with own emails and monitoring the teams email inbox.
  • Produce, update and manipulate reports using analytical tools (full training provided).
  • Assist with data analysis on a daily basis.
  • To be the first point of contact to provide basic support to managers and their staff, and to refer onwards where necessary.
  • Assist with data quality checks.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • To contribute to ongoing development and continuing improvement of systems and processes.
  • To have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.
  • To undertake any other duties that fall within the remit of the role as directed by more senior colleagues.
  • To support the production of timely, accurate and complete mandatory returns and other regular reporting.
  • To inputting, process and analyse data and information in accordance with relevant procedures, thereby maintaining the quality and content of data held within information systems.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • Willingness to positively engage in learning and keen to progress a career within data management.
  • Proficient level of computer literacy, including use of MS Office packages, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to abide by rules of confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Confident and professional approach.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently when required.
  • Able to manage own time effectively including working to deadlines and prioritising own workload.
  • Be able to follow instruction and work within trust policies and procedures.
  • Calm, customer focussed and approachable.
  • Able to abide by rules of confidentiality.
  • Good computer knowledge and experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.

Special Requirements

Be able and willing to work from home, to travel to the office and on occasion, to travel to other sites within the county.

Ability and potential to meet the academic requirements of the L4 Data Analysis Apprenticeship Programme.

Future prospects:

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

Training to be provided:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Data Analyst, with training in how to:

  • Ascertain how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems.
  • Gather, inspect, cleanse, transform and model data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Present data and produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
  • Use advanced theory and diverse techniques to harness greater understanding.
  • Inform decision-making and make recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
  • Ensure your business processes and procedures are compliant with data protection legislation.
