Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Analyst with Connected Data, a Data Company based in Nottingham.
Job Description:
Under guidance, carry out data analysis alongside day-to-day operational data management which deliver a range of customer insight to both Connected Data’s clients and the end consumer.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
DATA ANALYSIS
Under guidance, deliver Connected Data use case solutions using best practice data and analytical techniques and following established quality procedures to help guarantee the robustness of the solution.
- Formulate and interogate data to create the dashboards and reports necessary to address business requirements.
- Interpret reporting and dashboards results.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of own work. .
- Question results through applied intelligence.
- Effectively communicate ideas in client customer value forums.
- Track the regular supply of client input data and check the accuracy and consistency of the data.
- Ensure the quality of all reports and data sent to customers.
TIME MANAGEMENT
- Plan, organise and complete own workload to meet project commitments within agreed schedules.
- Proactively identify potential risks in achieving personal timescales.
- Recognise when issues or problems need to be escalated.
- Provide status reports to key stakeholders when required.
MANAGING CLIENT/CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
Support the client/customer relationship.
- Communicate with clients to help ensure accurate and timely implementation of POC and contracted work.
- Demonstrate understanding of the customer’s requirements.
- Build and maintain positive day to day customer relationships at peer level.
- Attend, support and contribute to client customer value meetings, including presenting own results, conclusions, and recommendations in both the Connected Data platform and verbal form.
- Recognise & raise client/customer problems or issues with key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
- Equivalent Experience OR Degree, with a high numeric content e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
- Experience of statistical / analytical project work.
- PC literate with experience in the use of coding languages (namely Python, SAS), statistical packages and Office tools.
- Knowledge of external data and value-added products. Understanding of how these are used within a client environment (not essential)

- In consultation with the management team, action agreed personal development plan.
- Seek feedback to improve skills, knowledge, and competencies as part of the feedback process.
- Demonstrate improved knowledge of the Connected Data platform and use cases and the clients’ business.
- Show willingness to take on additional responsibility and more difficult project work.
Future prospects:
The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.
Training to be provided:
Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Data Analyst, with training in how to:
- Ascertain how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems.
- Gather, inspect, cleanse, transform and model data to identify patterns and trends.
- Present data and produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
- Use advanced theory and diverse techniques to harness greater understanding.
- Inform decision-making and make recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
- Ensure your business processes and procedures are compliant with data protection legislation.
