Vacancy: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Fixed term until July 202416.25 per week
Working pattern - every morning 8:45 to 12:00
To be based in Year 6
Scale D 5-6 (£23,00 - £23,893 per annum pro rata)
Actual salary: £8,838 - £8,986 per annum
Required for September 2023
We are seeking a caring and understanding teaching assistant to join our hard-working and committed staff team. The post is to work as a class teaching assistant in one of our Year 6 classes. In year 6 we focus on the broad curriculum alongside preparations for SATs and pastoral support as children prepare for the transition to High School. Our year 6 children have responsibilities across areas of school life including playleaders, house team captains, and school council, and they take pride in these roles in school, setting a positive example as pupils at the top of the school.
The post is initially fixed term for 1 year with the potential to become permanent, dependent on finances and school staffing arrangements for future years.
Hillside Avenue Primary and Nursery School is a successful and popular school in Thorpe St Andrew, to the East of Norwich.
