Step Teachers are seeking a qualified teacher to work as a Primary NTP Tutor in Norwich for part-time and full time opportunities.
The pupils have been specially selected to be part of the programme to help them catch up to their peers and rebuild their confidence. Therefore, the school must have the same tutor for the entire duration of the assignment. The role may open up to allow the tutor to work on more than one of their sites. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to cover a range of subjects.
Being an NTP tutor is convenient for qualified teachers who are looking to get back into work after periods away from teaching and want part-time, flexible hours to fit current commitments. Tutors who are free in the afternoons are in demand.
We currently have a school who are looking for NTP Tutor to work 2 hours a week every Thursday.
To be an NTP Tutor you will need to have one of the following:
Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent
A degree in either Maths, English, Science, Humanities, or Modern Foreign Languages and strong tutoring experience.
Experience working in SEN setting is desirable but not essential
The right candidate must:
Have strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and experience in tutoring or teaching in a classroom
Be flexible with the hours they can work and willing to commit to long-term
Be Confident in behavioural management skills.
Be able to think on their feet and use different scaffolding strategies to teach the pupils
Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
