KPE Audit is responsible for the high-quality delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion. Working with privately owned entities and working across a range of businesses from fast growth to large international established groups, as well as across different industries
What will you be doing?
- You will have your own portfolio of audited entities, with responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team and monitoring budgets.
- You are also likely to have a departmental role, facilitating the internal operations of running the business, for example, roles relating to finance, technology, quality, people etc.
- As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading teams and supervising the work of junior staff
- You will manage and nurture stakeholder relationships at audited entities throughout the engagement, working with senior level staff
- You will be managing the finances of the engagement, including budgeting, fee negotiation, identifying and communicating overruns, raising fees and agreeing dates for cash collection
What will you need to do it?
- Professional qualification from a recognised accountancy body
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Exposure to working knowledge of International Standards on Auditing.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering a portfolio of high-quality audits.
- Experience of using proprietary software to manage the audit workflow and document audit evidence
- Experience of performance managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
Additional skills we’d love to see
- Sound working knowledge of US GAAS / PCOAB standards
- Exposure to working knowledge of US GAAP
- Audit experience within a ‘Big 4’ consultancy, mid-tier firm, or government / public sector audit experience
Where will you be working?
Audit at KPMG is wide ranging, and we cover the entire UK. Our London region has core hubs in:
- London CSQ
- Watford
- Reading
- Milton Keynes
With 20 sites across the UK, you will be working from a KPMG office, client site and some flexible working, and part-time options. If you have a need for flexibility, please register and discuss this with our team.
