Job description
The Kitchen staff will be based in the kitchen and will be responsible for upholding a high standard of hygiene. They will be responsible for cooking and cleaning by using trained standards of practice for the timing and temperatures of the food. Clear communication with other kitchen staff and the bar is important to provide the dishes well presented in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintaining a clean working space understanding the importance of day labelling and good stock rotation
- Provide fast and efficient service in making food at a high presentation as desired by the company in a timely manner
- Take food orders out by checking tickets and ensuring customers have the correct dishes ordered
- Clean tables as customers are eating and clear up after them
- Provide excellent customer service
- Understand the cooking temperatures for cooked meat and vegetables
- Communicating clearly with the supervisor about delays for food and any support needed in the kitchen
- Liaising with the kitchen and floor to provide the best service to the customers, due to food waits or clearing of tables
- Use the opening and closing checklists to set up the kitchen to the best of their ability
- Provide enough preparation for the kitchen. ensuring all stock is correctly refilled such as open stock, freezers and cleaning equipment
- Report daily stocks and any maintenance issues needed
- Learn how to use kitchen equipment safely

Key Competencies:
- Learn the correct basket size that goes with which dish

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £8.00-£9.50 per hour
