Requirements:
The ideal person will have some experience in a similar position though this is not essential and will have the ability to assist our team with the day to day running of the kitchen.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, that is reliable and willing to learn as part of this growing team.
Duties will include:
- Assist with ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchen.
- Ensure that sufficient material for the performance of cleaning duties are collated.
- Dispose of rubbish into an area outline by Head Chef whilst complying with food safety policy.
- Ensure the working areas and equipment in the kitchen are cleaned to a high standard.
- Aid the Chefs when necessary.
About Us
Built in the early 1900s, the 83-bedroom Caledonian Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the area. It still boasts a quiet, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and pleasant gardens.
The Hotel overlooks Ullapool's working harbour and the colourful fishing boats on Loch Broom. To the right of the hotel is the Fowler Memorial Clock - said to be the most photographed clock in the Highlands. It was first erected in 1899 in memory of Sir John Arthur Fowler (1817-1898) and his family who lived at Braemore House near Corrieshalloch Gorge. However, to help reduce traffic congestion, it was moved to its new home in West Argyle Street in the 1960s.
