This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a successful pub company and play your part in providing excellent hospitality within Cornwall.
The kitchen porter position is a crucial role in the business and requires speed, eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness Many of the senior leadership team have started off in the role and progressed through the company.
If you are keen to learn, hungry to prove yourself with ambition to progress then this is a great starting position.
This is a lead role as you'd need to make sure cleaning items are in stock and in-place for the weekend team.
Shifts would vary but would include some evenings and weekend work.

The job
As a kitchen porter you'll need to keep up to speed with dishes and assist the chefs in keeping both the kitchen and equipment clean. At the end of shifts you'll need to be able to follow the end of shift process so that the kitchen is ready for the following day.
The Norway Inn is located in Perranarworthal between Penryn and Truro and is a welcoming pub, restaurant and hotel serving traditional pub food prepared by our well drilled kitchen team. We have a reputation for excellent, friendly, attentive service. We have been awarded Heart of the Community Award by the British Institute of Inn keeping (BII).
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Kitchen Porter with a love for all things food and drink and a passion for excellent service to join our small, committed team.

The Heartbeat of the kitchen. Without you, we cannot cook and deliver our amazing food. You will ensure the chefs have what they need and the kitchen is spick and span.
