Peppermint is a stylish and fun cocktail bar situated on Mill Lane in Cardiff, serving up creative cocktails, delicious food, warm hospitality, drinks packages, VIP bookings, a stunning gin garden and two DJs over two floors to make your night special!
Peppermint is part of an independent hospitality company that owns and operates multiple bar and restaurant venues across Cardiff and Swansea. Founded in 2010, we’ve built on our combined knowledge and creativity to launch several successful bars and restaurants: BrewStone, Bambu, Peppermint and Frango which are some of the most popular and unique venues in South Wales, as well as ventures in property management, security and cleaning.

The Role
Your role as a Kitchen Porter will be to keep the kitchen running smoothly by ensuring all areas are clean, tidy, organised and compliant with Hygiene and Health & safety standards. You will be required to wash pots and pans to the company standard at a fast pace, ensuring the chef has full availability at all times. You will be working on a weekly-rotated shift pattern, which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene;
- Maintain a good working relationship with Head Chef and colleagues;
- Help to maintain a good working environment within the company and good working relationships with all other departments in the Company;
- Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required;
- Carry out any other reasonable requests made by the Manager
- Organising the storeroom ensuring it is organised and cleaned to company standard
- Washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls ensuring they are clean and compliant with Health & Safety procedures
- Making sure kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned, properly stored and organised.
- Be fully conversant with the Company hygiene policy
