This is a full-time Temporary Kitchen Porter position based at Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield, WF1 4DJ.
Hours: 37.5 hours
Shifts: Monday – Friday 11:00 – 19:00
The Role
We have a temporary placement opportunity available for a Kitchen Porter within the Catering department and providing the following support to the Team.
Duties to include:
- To undertake all kitchen portering tasks, as requested by Catering facilities co coordinator and Chefs.
- To undertake all scheduled tasks within the required times and in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- To work as part of the restaurant team ensuring all patients are treated with dignity and respect.
- To keep the kitchen clean to the required standard.
- To fill in due diligence records daily.
- To maintain good hygiene practices in the tasks performed as per infection control procedures.
- To observe Health & Safety regulations at all times.
The skills required are:
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Team working in a service environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic food hygiene an advantage.
