What you’ll get up to:
· Performing all cleaning, washing and preparation duties required in kitchens
· Assisting the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Supervisors with all necessary tasks to ensure the kitchen operations runs smoothly and efficiently
· Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
· Assisting the KM & KS with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
· Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
· Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies and inventory control
The ideal candidate will have:
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Experience working in a kitchen (not essential)
· Ability stand for extended periods
· Exceptional hygiene standards
· Ability to follow instructions and work within a team
· Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
· Availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
